This is Rich Zubaty, pinch hitting for The Rude Guy, welcoming you to the Reality Cult. My slow-talking friend is off trout fishing somewhere. Uhhh. It’s easier doing this show without him anyway.

Isn’t it convenient how Ken Lay all-of-a-sudden DIED? What-do-ya-say? Here’s the guy who’s got more dirty laundry on George W Bush than anyone alive. He gets convicted. Is looking at lots of jail time. Might… just MIGHT open his big mouth, now that he has nothing left to lose. And suddenly he’s DEAD.
Isn’t that something?
Lay gave over 1.5 million dollars to George W Bush and the Republicans… But, so the story goes, Georgie was a true blue boy scout when it came to NOT being unduly influenced in his political decision-making by Kenny Boy.
Total bullshit. Here’s how Bush helped Lay and Enron.
Bush personally joined the fight against imposing caps on the soaring price of electricity in California, at the exact time Enron was artificially driving up the price of electricity, by manipulating supply. Bush’s resistance to price caps bought Enron extra time to GOUGE hundreds of millions of dollars from California’s consumers.
Bush granted Lay broad influence over the development of the administration’s energy policies, including the choice of key regulators to oversee Enron’s businesses. The chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission was fired in 2001, after he began to delve into Enron’s complex derivative-financing schemes.
Bush had his National Security Counsel staff, headed by Condoleeza Rice, organize an administration-wide task force to try and pressure Indi, to buy Enron’s dysfunctional generating plant at Dabhol, for $2.3 billion dollars. The NSC-led, Dabhol campaign didn’t end until Nov. 8, 2001, when the Securities and Exchange Commission raided Enron’s offices – and protection of Lay stopped being politically possible. That afternoon, Bush was sent an e-mail advising him not to bring up his planned Dabhol deal with India’s prime minister, who was visiting Washington.
And that’s just some of the stuff we KNOW about. What did Ken Lay REALLY know? What did that 1.5 million REALLY buy? Therein lies the missing key to how a group of conservative freaks, have taken over our government.

This show is called the Reality Cult because we take a firm stand against fantasies. Fantasies like: Americans have free and fair elections and live in a democracy. Fantasies like: 19 Arabs with plastic knives brought down the World Trade Center and attacked the Pentagon. We cannot AFFORD to inhabit fantasies. This country is so polarized right now, I predict we are on the glide path to revolution… armed insurrection… and we need to make decisions based upon facts, not fictions. The citizens of this country do not want to overthrow the government. They want to THROW out the assholes who have overthrown our government, from WITHin. The men and women who stole two national elections, trampled our constitution, lied us into war, and lied about how they were NOT spying on us.
It is our duty as patriots to get rid of these usurpers.
Fantasy number one: We have democracy, free and fair elections, in the USA.
When I was a kid growing up in Chicago elections were stolen by dead people. Miraculously, dead people voted, and Democrats always won. The Republicans have changed the game. Nowadays, the Republicans do not enlist phantom people to vote. Instead, they either prevent Democrats from voting, or from having their votes counted.
In the 2000 elections Al Gore actually had a half million more votes than George Bush, but due to our fucked up, archaic, nonsensical electoral college system of vote reporting, those votes didn’t count. So put that aside. It came down to Florida. George Bush won Florida by 500 votes, and 91,000 black and/or Democratic voters were purged from the voter rolls, falsely accused of being felons. And what did the US Supreme Court do? Stop the vote recount. Conservative Party flunky bastards.
Now hear this. I don’t care if it takes two weeks to count votes. I don’t’ care if it takes a month. Or two. I want a patient and accurate count. We don’t inaugurate the new president until January, two months later. Why the fuck do we need to know who won, before we go to sleep on voting day. We DON’T!
Florida should have had, not merely a recount, but a reVOTE. Let everybody in Florida vote AGAIN, knowing that their vote REALLY MATTERS this time. Yes, it’s THAT important who our president is. It’s the difference between LIFE AND DEATH, war and not war.
But maybe Florida 2000 is just sour grapes. So fast forward to Ohio in 2004, the state that determined the national election, where George Bush won by 150,000 votes, and 350,000 Democratic-leaning voters were disqualified from voting. The bad guys used a variety of gimmicks this time, from making voters in poor districts wait in line for six hours to vote, to issuing “provisional ballots” that were NEVER counted to… on and on. The point is, the conservative dirty trickster fuckwads, stole the election AGAIN.
And now we have Diebold, major MONEY donor to the Republican party, and maker of defective voting machines that leave no paper trail, BUYING ITS WAY into our voting process. We are privatizing our most public asset – PUBLIC elections. And those PRICKS are gonna to steal our elections again. And they will KEEP doing it until we STOP them. This is the stuff of which revolutions are made, so get USED to that thought. We have the nerve to protest the fairness of elections held in Venezuela and Bosnia and Iran, but we can’t even manage to hold fair elections here?

Fantasy number two:
19 Arabs with boxcutters brought down the World Trade Center and made a hole in the Pentagon.

I am NOT a conspiracy nut. I have always said, we don’t need to look for conspiracies, when blatant violations of the Constitution are being perpetrated in plain view by our president, vice president and attorney general, every single day.
But I must admit, I was just plain shocked by the evidence presented in these videos. And I can’t help but repeat, that 66 per cent of New Yorkers say there is something wrong with the official investigation of 9/11, something MISSING, and there needs to be a NEW investigation.
Here’s a brief list of what’s wrong with what the big shots told us:
Two World Trade Center buildings were hit by planes, but three buildings “fell” down. I put the word “fell” in quotes here, because there is no way in the world those buildings could have collapsed, that fast, without having been structurally demolished by explosives. Those enormous buildings fell to the ground in nine seconds. NINE seconds. A similarly constructed, steel and concrete skyscraper, in Spain, burned for two days until the fires extinguished themselves, and NEVER DID fall down. Those World Trade Center buildings were demolished. But it would have taken weeks to plant those explosives. So… Were explosives planted in the buildings when they were FIRST constructed, to aid fire fighters in just such an emergency? So they could drop the building in one spot, STRAIGHT DOWN, instead of having it collapse sideways over half of Manhattan? Probably. But they don’t want you, the people who frequent those buildings, to know about that. You might get afraid, and not go back, if you knew demolition charges were planted in high rise buildings.
Also there is the huge problem surrounding building number seven. Building number seven, part of the same World Trade Center compound, but located FAR from the other buildings, purportedly collapsed, due to a fire of UNEXPLAINED origin, in its upper floors. But how did that fire start? No plane hit it. And how did the entire building collapse in seven seconds? The official 9/11 investigation gives NO reason for this collapse. However, the owner of the building may be seen on news footage, in the aforementioned videos, talking about how the fire department asked his permission to demolish the building. And a half hour later the building collpased. Again, when were the charges planted? And by whom?
Perhaps this all has some reasonable explanation. Perhaps. But I want to know what it is.
And what about the Pentagon? It was hit by what? A 757 jet plane. However, footage taken at the crash scene shows only one hole in the building. The two huge jet engines on a 757, the heaviest, densest parts of the plane, that weigh six TONS each, would make TWO holes in the building. Not just one. And the total wreckage from the plane would amount to 60 tons of debris. But, the crash scene, AS IS CLEARLY VIEWABLE IN THE VIDEOS, is devoid of seats, metal, landing gear, luggage, bodies, blood… None of that debris is there. Impossible. AND… Footage from the so-called crash site of the fourth plane in Pennsylvania has the same problem. No seats, no twisted metal debris, no landing gear, no bodies or blood. Nothing.
Moreover, the imaginary plane that hit the Pentagon is supposed to have arrived from the west, made a severe 330 degree turn, and crashed into the east side of the building… into a part of the building that had been evacuated previously, for ongoing renovations. Was that LUCKY, or what?…
Professional pilots say that a 757 cannot make that severe a turn without stalling and falling out of the sky. Air traffic controllers watching radar said that the speed, the maneuverability, the way that it turned, all indicated it was a military plane. Like an F-16, not a 757.
Moreover, this huge jet was reported to have flown just a few yards above a heavily trafficked street, without its huge jet engines making any loud noise or blowing any of the cars off the road. Not possible.
But there’s more. On that very day, Dick Cheney and the CIA were holding a drill to test, you guessed it, a terrorist attack on the East Coast using airplanes. That’s why, it is claimed, our jets didn’t scramble to intercept. They assumed it was all part of the test. Yeah, and Santa Claus drives through the sky pulled by reindeer.
But maybe that’s all mistaken too. Just a big SLOP pile of reporting errors.
If so, why have 8 of the 19 identified suicide hijackers been found to be alive, in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan? What’s that about? Within weeks of the attack the FBI removed them from their list of the attackers, and never replaced their faces with anyone else. These fuckwads rushed in to post photos on national TV and give answers to a nervous nation, simply for the sake of having QUICK answers, like our elections, with no regard for accuracy. It’s the same mentality at work. Let’s act like we know what we’re doing by having an instant answer for everything.
Or how about the famous Neil Young song, “let’s roll”, spoken by that true blue American hero, over the cell phone. You know. THAT guy. Problem is, cell phones only work below 8000 feet, and our hero’s plane was flying at 30,000 feet. Uh oh.
That’s the one that REALLY got me. The previous incongruities struck me as possibly mistakes. Mistakes in reporting or something. The phony cell phone messages, if true, bespeak a PREMEDITATED attempt to convey ABSOLUTELY PHONY information. To INTENTIONALLY mislead us. And there is no way in the world 19 Arabs with plastic knives, came up with that level of deception. The guys who cooked this up were big time SPYMASTERS. CIA/KGB/Mossad type pros.
And there’s more. Much much more. Over a decade ago, the rightwing think-tank, The Project for a New American Century, cooked up a position paper saying that the USA needed a quote “New Pearl Harbor”, unquote, to infuriate the citizenry, and mobilize us to fight another global war. That paper was signed by Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Pearl, Douglas Feith, and a dozen other neocons. In other words, all of them had thought about this kind of mega event, long long before.
Also, originally Osama bin Laden flatly denied any involvement with this bombing. He put it down to “opportunists” who wished to profit from the event. So let us ask ourselves just WHO profited from 9/11? Dick Cheney and Halliburton? George the loser Bush, whose polls were pulling about 35 per cent at the time of the attack. Rumsfeld, Israel?… Sadam? No. Our oil companies? Yes. It’s pretty clear who profited from this. And that’s where we should be looking to hang responsibility. Not on some flunkies in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. We should be looking in our own back yard.
Maybe everything I’ve said is bullshit. I hope so. I really do. And if so, let someone come forth and give us the facts, and dispel all these crazy theories and inconsistencies. Tell us WHY there’s only one hole in the Pentagon, and where the cell phone calls came from, and why building number seven collapsed. Just answer the questions and that will be the end of that. Simple
But they won’t do it, will they? We still don’t know who shot John F Kennedy and who shot Martin Luther King junior. And no one is gonna reopen this 9/11 investigation. Some crack pots will announce some goofy theories and they will be ridiculed and dismissed without anyone in government, ever, answering these SIMPLE questions. Why is there only one hole in the Pentagon, and where did the cell phone calls come from, and why did building number seven collapse?
You know what scares me? It’s always the Leftists, the progressives, the change-makers who get shot… assassinated. Abraham Lincoln, and then Governor Huey Long down in Lousiana, just after he kicked Standard Oil in the butt. John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy. Martin Luther King Junior and Mahatma Gandhi. Always the Leftists.
Conservatives are not just vicious. They’re MURDERERS. They’re bringing this country to the brink of civil war. They’ll murder YOU if you’re not careful. And then they’ll pray to Jesus, and be forgiven, and that will be the end of that… except YOU’ll be dead.

I know he really gets passionate about stalking over smooth rocks through snow-melt streams, flipping flies at trout. It’s a kind of a religious experience to him. He lost a big, tail-walking, rainbow last week, when his knot broke. And he watched an osprey fold its wings, and smash into the river from a hundred feet up, snagging a small trout in its talons… then pumping upward on dripping wings, up the face of pine-freckled cliffs, up, up into the hot sky… higher even than a circling bald eagle.
